17:00

Welcome Reception at the Academic Medical Center (AMC), Amsterdam
The welcome reception was organised by the local host at the Amsterdam Medical Center (AMC) and took place in the hospital. The programme started at 17:00 on Thursday afternoon, December 9, 2004 and many attractions followed. First, various presenters spoke about ethnic diversity and its impacts on health from a local perspective. Afterwards, a choir performance was given, along with food and drinks. This multi-sense, multi-cultural experience with music and food from all around the world was a perfect warm-up for a good conference experience.
